AMX3200 is a new-generation coherent transponder and muxponder with 3.2 Tbps switching capacity that is designed for building high-capacity optical transport networks.

AMX3200 is designed and built as a disaggregated system to offer flexibility with different NOS options in modular sled-based line modules.

AMX3200 is designed to expand Datacenter Interconnect (DCI), and service provider backhaul over the coherent-wavelength-supporting C-band channel in different applications based on CFP2-DCO specifications.

Redundancy

AMX3200 has two modular SLEDs in the front and redundant PSU and fan slots in the rear. This platform has 4+1 fan modules to provide redundancy over a single fan failure situation. AMX3200 supports PSUs in a 1+1 load-sharing redundant mode.

Pay-as-you-Grow Model

AMX3200 is a 1 RU system that offers a chassis-like flexibility with modular components keeping costs in check. Each SLED supports 8 x QSFP+/QSFP28 client interfaces and 2 x 400G (CFP) line interfaces, which are sufficient for day-one requirements and can be expanded using a second SLED. Service providers have the flexibility to offer high capacity based on end-traffic requirements.

PTP Functionality

AMX3200 supports PTP (IEEE 1588v2) timings up to Class C and provides a PPS output for the two-SLED design. The PTP function allows AMX3200 applications in telco environments at aggregation/edge locations.

Interoperability

AMX3200 is an open and disaggregated system in hardware and soſtware capacity, allowing service providers and operators to built solutions with different combinations of components, such as NOS, optics, and interfaces.
